Gabby Douglas responds to Haters and ‘Criticizers’

7 Aug
After all the discussion over Gabby Douglas’ hair, some of us waited for when this gold medal Olympian would respond. And, it comes at no surprise that she found the whole appraisal ridiculous.
“I don’t know where this is coming from. What’s wrong with my hair?” responded a flabbergasted Douglas. “I’m like, ‘I just made history and people are focused on my hair?’ It can be bald or short, it doesn’t matter about (my) hair.” “Nothing is going to change,” she said. “I am going to wear my hair like this during beam and bar finals. You might as well just stop talking about it.”
Clearly, the comments about her hair did not phase Douglas. She is too focused on winning more medals and getting more advertisements—something these haters never got in the first place. Kudos to you Gabby! Keep on being an idol!
